I have finally reached the edge of the cone-tree forest. I think I'll call them "Conifor" trees for short. Anyway, I have decided to talk to one of the locals around the area and see exactly where I am. This place is full of farmers, and most of them didn't have any knowledge of the outside world. One couple, though, was able to tell me I'm at the Farmsteads of Minnes, about a day's walk away from another city. It'll be nice to get some good food and a warm place to sleep for once. I think I made a mistake leaving the city in the middle of fall. I could also do a little work in town and get some more money, it would seem it's better to get as much as early as I can and be far more prepared.I also asked for the date, because- well... I forgot to write it down when I left. Unfortunately the couple who catered me for the evening doesn't track time the same way we do in the city, afterall they are but simple farmers, but they told me that people in the city do! Having correct days and times will help any future wielder of this mighty tome know about how far gone I may be from this book, or how much of an antique it is. History is fun!
